I have a lovely brahma hen that is almost 1 year. 3 days ago i found her standing sleeping puffed up in the corner. I immediately quarantined her and started giving her Denegard, at a rate of 8ml to 1 gallon of water. She was not drinking so i started using a syringe and carefully pouring it down her throat. I have been doing this for three days and no improvement. I just gave her some water with nutri drench and she could barely stay awake for it
I am considering using Tylan 200 and start injection, anyone have any ideas?

A bacterial infection may not be what's wrong with her. There are other disorders that produce similar symptoms.

Have you checked her crop? These crop disorders are one of the most common reasons a hen will act sick. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/

A reproductive disorder is a close second. When was the last time she laid? Shell quality issues? Thin shells? No shells? Does she have a discharge from her vent? Does it smell bad?

Parasites are a third common reason for lethargic behavior. She may have worms or she may be suffering at night from coop mites. Check the coop at night for mites crawling up her legs. You might decide to go ahead and worm her. Safeguard paste is an easy all purpose wormer. If you dscover coop mites, get permethrin to treat the hen and the coop.

Last, she could have coccidiosis. It's also a parasite, but you treat it with Corid, a coccidiostat that blocks thiamine from being absorbed in the intestines to starve the coccidia.

Both of these last two can be diagnosed with a stool sample given to a vet to run a fecal float test. It's around $25 at most vets.
