I'm not sure how long in "hours" to clear a crop, but I know when I've checked mine in the evening, it is empty in the morning. Not sure where you are located, but check in the morning...it should be smaller. oh, did she have access to grit in your chicken yard/coop? mine free range, and pick it up where ever they find it...so you might offer some to her if she has not had access in a while, if she needs it she will take it. Hoping she keeps on the up & up! good job.

Good morning well Miss Chicky is singing this morning! She ate two eggs yesterday feverishly!! She still won't stand or walk. Occasionally she will stand up and then just flop down again? I felt her crop this morning and it is full. I can feel a little lump of eggs the last time she ate was around 9 pm last night, should I still feel eggs? She is a free range hen so she gets her grit naturally. Any advice would be great. I can tell she feels better just don't understand why she won't get up and move around?

Since she isn't able to free range right now, do you have some grit available for her?

No luck on the grit she refuses it? Still just laying there but she's eating , drinking, and singing. This is day 4.

Don't force the grit right now.

I would leave the grit in there with her.She will know when she needs it. So happy she is singing and happy

Thank you!! I just wish I knew why she is having trouble standing/ walking?! There are so many reasons for this and my head is spinning! But... she is happy and that is a blessing so I will take it!!

How old is she/mix the grit with her food and she might eat it.
