My hen is really sick she was fine two hours ago she wont move or open her eyes or eat or drink she has like boogers in her nose and she has alot of poop on her botton she just laying down everytime i pick her up she just puts her head down i think she has a cold what can i do for her or what could it be?

If her nose is snotty, it’s probably a respiratory infection. There are a few different kinds. Any sneezing, coughing or wheezing? Any bubbles in the eyes? Can you post a photo of her whole body and another close up of her face? Will she drink on her own if you dip her beak? A dose of straight nutridrench might be good for her if you have it. Please clean up the poopy bum and make sure she doesn’t have fly strike. How old is she? We’ve been seeing lots of cases of coccidiosis, so you might want to treat her for that. Also, many respiratory illnesses are viral, but are sometimes treated with antibiotics for secondary bacterial infections.

She will only drink if i dip her nose and she wont open her eyes there doesn t seem to be anything on. Her eyes and she has chills

Can you provide a heat source? Do you have a heating pad? Or even keeping her in a small room with an area heater might be good. I would not wet her if she is that weak. Maybe trim the feathers where there is poopy bum, but don’t bathe her right now. Unless, of course, there are maggots. Did you che I and make sure there aren’t any?
