I want to thank everyone for their comments and advise but I’m sorry to say that my sweet Dixie died! I can’t believe how fast it was. Now I have only 1 left and I’m thinking I will try to rehome her. I don’t think I’m a very good chicken mom. And it’s not fair to keep one by itself.

Sorry to hear. They do go so fast sometimes, don't blame yourself, you've done all you could.

I've had my mini meltdowns losing girls to sickness. I wouldn't give up so easy @Bdbutton . It's been about a year for me since I got back into raising and I've lost 5 girls to "diseases/unknown", 3 in a single coyote break in and recently 4 to hawks.

Remember they had a good life living under your care, have good thoughts and unfortunately... moving on... I know it sounds cheesy but sometimes, that's their short lil' cycle of life. Doesn't mean they didn't have a good one .
