I am pleased to hear that your gal is on the improve. Knowing how curious and silly chickens are, any chance to could have poked her head somewhere she shouldn’t, sharp corner, jagged wire etc and the looking like “she was pecked by the other hens” could have been after the event when they spotted blood?
