RedHillChicken
Songster
After some time outside, she's back in the garage. We fixed her some more mush, with broccoli and tuna, and gave her the calcium pill. She's eating constantly.

Thanks for reminding me Coach!Make sure she has access to grit as well.
We're getting ready to give her a second dose of SafeGuard and Nutri Drench. She slept right next to the food tray, I guess for easy munching at night. I will keep y'all informed of her condition. I do plan to de-worm the whole flock this coming week, except for our broody hen named Reetta. Thanks again for a yours, Coachs' and Eggcessives' help and advice.I'm glad to hear she's eating.
I'm hopeful she's improving.
Please do keep us updated.
It's good that she's able to get outside for a while, even if she's slow they seem to be a little perkier just being "out".Well, after taking her calcium pill today our hen was outside for several hours in the morning, and about 4 hours this afternoon with the rest of the girls. We stopped the NutriDrench, since she doesn't need any more runny stools than she already has, but we did give her the 4th day of SafeGuard. She actually scratched for "munchies" outside, but she's still very slow and not eating much. The rest of the flock didn't have much to do with her. Chickens don't like other sick chickens around, I guess. I did notice that her comb has lost ALL of the blue/purple color, and it is very red now. It looks more filled out than yesterday. I think that's a good sign. She's spending the night in the garage again, just to assure she's OK and not getting pecked. We'll give her the calcium and dewormer in the morning. Her poop is still sort of dark and there's a very small amount of the yellow puss looking stuff, but now there is more clear runny liquid in her poop.
