Sick lethargic chicken, help immediately please

Even if it takes a few days to order the Tylosin I'd do it in case the rest of the flock gets sick.
Thank you so much for all the information, unfortunately she passed away. It was a very quick down turn. It ended with a seizure- convulsions, twisted neck, no sounds tho. This happened a few years ago to two of my chickens, so I still have no idea how to prevent or spot it earlier

It Could be botulism or avian metapneumovirus. My colleague and I just dealt with both. They both affect the nervous system as well. You might want to have those meds on hand if it happens again. Liquid b vitamin complex also helps. Installing an exhaust fan in their coop area can help a lot too. I consulted with a few local experts and they said I need to remove all the chickens from the coop. Disinfect with tektrol and let coop air out for several weeks.
If this is a repeat problem. Recommend necropsy on hen to determine pathogen and future prevention. Your vet can send it for necropsy. Also try state poultry organization.

four year-old bar rock chicken who’s usually full of pep. But today we found her in the bottom of the coop very lethargic not moving at all head down. We brought her inside tried to offer her some sugar water or anything to get her awake. then we put her in an Epson salt bath warm water to see if that may help with an egg bound or something. She still very lethargic. I have to hold her head up with my hand. Her comb isn’t pale, but the tips are purpleHer breathing is pretty labored too and almost sticky sounding, but she’s breathing through her nose not her mouth
I'm sorry to hear about your hen.

It's hard to know why she died, if you want to find out more, then refrigerate the body and send it to your State Lab. Optionally, you could investigate yourself to take a look at the internals and see if there's anything obvious. If you do that, take photos and we'll help you with what you see.

Speculation on my part. 4yr old Barred Rock, sudden lethargy. You soaked to see if she would lay an egg, so I assume she normally lays eggs a few times a week. She may have been egg bound or suffering from a reproductive disorder. Could have been a combination of organ failure along with reproductive issues. So hard to know unless you investigate further.

I've had two hens die that way from choking, and treated another yesterday for squishy crop all at different times over the last couple years. Crop massage, Epsom salt and coconut oil flush, and Ivermectin oral dose brought my last girl out of it in a day.

Sorry for your loss.
