Hey guys, I need some help and advice on this one, my 4 almost 5 year old Black Shoulder Peahen named Little Eagle (some of you are familiar with her=) yesterday I noticed her laying by herself and I walked up to her and she stood up and it seemed like she was having a hard time balancing, she took a few steps and layed bak down. I was able to get a few pics of her poo which is very abnormal! I'm starting to think she has blackhead! Any help and advise is highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Is she eating? Is she skinny?
Can Peahens get Coccidia like chickens? Because your description of her matches my coccidia infested chickens 100%. Even the poop. My GLW couldn't walk because she started losing her balance and would just lay down, and her poop was yellow and dark green.

Could you try scrambling an egg for her and see if she will eat it?
Will she let you pick her up? I'm wondering if she is injured, not sick.

I actually just did that about 15 min ago and shes not touching it. I have her inside with me so I can keep an eye on her and keep her nice and cool. Shes not injured I know that for sure.

Little Eagle loves scrambled eggs and the fact that she's kinda face down in them tells me shes not doing good at all!

Oh wow yeah that isn't looking well. Can you find a local avian vet? I think that's all that can help you right now. I don't own Peahens so I'm just trying the basic stuff hoping someone else could come along and help.

Sorry for posting so many times in a row, but do you have any Poultry Nutri-Drench on hand? If not do you have a local TSC? That might be the best you can do yourself.
Can Peahens get Eggbound?

All the vets listed are 75 miles from me or further, Tractor Supply is only 15 miles away. My first thought was eggbound, I had a Turkey hen die from being eggbound a few years ago and her poo was identical to my peahens. But I'm just not sure what's going on and for the symptoms to start yesterday and her being this bad off today whatever it is if I dont do something today I'm pretty sure I will lose her by tomarrow. She had a rough start at life because when I bought her as a chick almost 5 years ago she was very sick and I didnt know but with the help from my feathered friends on BYC we were able to get her well. I'm hoping I can do that again, it would be devastating to me to lose her. Waiting on my husband to get home hopefully befor the vet closes for the weekend!
