SICK RED SEX LINK. PLEASE HELP!

I agree... Might be a good idea to start her on an antibiotic and some calcium, just make sure you give them several hours apart as many drugs should not be given with calcium. Can you take her to a vet?

We are giving her the antibiotic in her water so she is constantly getting it. She has a vet appointment this Friday with the "bird" specialist. Should I continue giving her the antibiotics in the water? I have some leftover Baytril the vet gave us for another chicken that recently passed. Should I just start giving her that?

What is the dosage on the liquid calcium?

Should I be really worried about this? We just lost a chicken about a month ago to a respiratory infection. Now I'm paranoid about everything they do.

i called the vet. They didn't recommend I give her the baytril since I don't have a full course left. They couldn't recommend much since the vet hasn't seen her.

I only have 3 pills left. I bought the calcium. Walmart only sells them in pill form. What dosage should I be giving her?

The dose I shoot for is ~50mg per pound.

How many mg are the baytril pills and how much does your hen weigh? You can always get more Baytril on Friday when you seen the vet.

The Baytril is a 22.7 mg tablet. We took them off the other antibiotic this morning and gave her fresh water. She seems perfectly fine today. I have been mixing her feed pellets up with water and she seems to like that. She also tore up a plate of oatmeal this morning. I am going to weigh her right now and see about giving her the calcium. I have heard that sunflower seeds may also help.
