She laid again on their roosting perch overnight even though I had seen her in the nesting box earlier that day and laid nothing. This is what my husband found when he went in the coop. He said it broke apart like there were two separate eggs.

I forgot to mention that they have oyster shell available all the time. I will try to find some of the vitamins you mentioned. She gets really sluggish when she's trying to lay but once she's expelled one these eggs she is back to her old self.

This dosent look like any sort of (normal) egg...could you possibly post a picture of another egg she's laid so I can compare?, it's hard to make out but it sort of looks like a lash egg, either way from her posture and sickly looking picture I whould bet she's got some kind of reproductive infection brewing...can you get her in to a vet?, they have apropriate antibiotics for thease conditions

She has been on antibiotics for about a week now. My husband said she is grazing with the other girls today which is definitely better than just a couple of days ago. Hopefully she will recover. After what I've read on your links I'm worried about her future. We will see how things go. Thanks for all the help!
