That's the first thing to suspect, along with worms. Your friend can safely treat this fellow for both worms and coccidiosis at the same time. Mix up the coccidiostat (Corid if that's the brand sold there) and put a teaspoon of sugar in the water bowl so he will be sure to drink it. It will also elevate his glucose and make him feel instantly better.

His crop should be checked in the morning before he eats or drinks to rule out a sour crop or impacted crop. If it's full after a night of not eating, he has a crop issue that needs treating.

Can you get 10% SafeGuard or Pancur (fenbendazole) wormer there in PR? Dosage is 1/4 ml per pound of weight given for 5 consecutive days. For coccidiosis treatment, get amprollium, sulfa antibiotic, such as SMZ-TMP, or toltrazuril.

I'm waiting for my corid I've already lost like 5 birds since but idk the rooster was randomly better i suppose he was just not feeling it that day

Now I have not checked his crop but I'll let him know tomorrow so he can check him

To be honest I'm not sure what I can find anymore were having a law billed here that agricultural centers can no longer sell medicine of any kind of grade with exception to vitamins and I'm surprised I've been to 3 but no luck
