    Hi All,

I have a situation here and have just exhausted all the means that I know of. I hope that someone here with more
    experience can lend some assistance.

Ok, the patient is a 5 year old BO rooster named Roy. He is not feeling well, he is loosing weight,
has lack of energy and just looks miserable.

Here is what I have done...
wormed (safe guard, 5 days in a row)
given rooster booster poultry cell and B12 plus K
Put apple cider vinegar in water
Given him a B12 injection to help boost his immunity
Trimmer his spurs (one was curved and starting to grow into his leg)
Put vaseline on his feet in case of any scale leg mites
Given him hard boiled egg which he only picks at

I have checked for Mites and lice, he has none. He has been wormed so no problem there.

After all of this, he still just looks like he does not feel well. I am going to start an antibiotic just to
rule anything out there. Other than that I am lost.

At what point could this just be old age, this is my first flock so I have no idea how gracefully chickens

Are older chickens susceptible to cocci? Not sure if this is just a problem for young pullets or not.

Any other ideas are more than welcome.

    Howdy Roy Rooster

I am definitely not an expert on what ails chickens but my replying to your post will hopefully bump it up and catch the attention of someone who is.

One thing that may help others with a diagnosis are his poops .. how do they look? Normally, runny, discoloured etc?

Another thing that may be helpful to know is how his crop feels, hard or squishy, small or large etc? Does it appear to empty overnight? [Probably hard to gauge if he is not eating much].

Does his comb have a good colour or is it pale or purple etc?

I hope that someone is able to help you soon and you find out what ails him.

Hi, thanks for you reply. I was going to mention his comb in my OP but forgot, thanks for reminding me.
His comb looks normal, has good color and fullness. His crop feels fine from what I can tell, he is not
eating a whole lot right now so I am not sure if that will make a difference.
