My rooster has been very sick for over a week now. He has trouble standing, very unsteady, hasn't crowed in quite a while, has green diarrhea, tucked tail, pale comb and wattles. It's terrible! I have been giving him sulfatrim antibiotics two times per day since Sunday and have seen no progress. He's isolated and has access to plenty of water and food. Any ideas? I want to keep trying but also don't want him to keep suffering if it is the end.
Could this be worms? I hatched him myself but added hens from a commercial place to the flock, that's when the trouble started. He went through a sick spell back in August but was able to bounce back. It did not get as bad as it is now. None of the new hens are sick but I'm afraid they carried something.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
