sick silver penciled cochin UPDATE:Precious has died

here is the latest picture. I think it looks better but maybe not better but different? I've been washing with saline 3 X daily and applying the terramycin. The eye looks more open but it looks like there's something over the eye. I don't know if it's something that should come out, like pus or something. I hope someone can shed some light from this latest photo!

Precious has not really been eating since this eye thing started but I've been spoon feeding her baby applesauce with sweet potato, Kefir, baby parrot formula, and water. I also make a parrot mash for my "indoor" birds out a bunch of grains, beans, veggies, and fruit and I whipped some up with some water and my immersion blender. She is eating very little. I also have pellets, grit, scratch, and water available at all times in the carrier. I had her out on the floor with her food all around hoping that maybe that would do something to get her to eat, when she did a little poop. It does not look good. I'm hoping it looks so gross because she hasn't been eating much.

The reason she's in the house is an eye infection and she was wormed with Wazine about 9 days ago. I'm so worried about my little girl!

I have heard that the green poop can be from their not eating much (we had a roo do just the same last week). I think it's from bile in the gut? When she starts getting a bit more, the green should go away

You're being a great momma to her!

She looks good compared to her first pics! Good job! I have heard that honey will help heal infections and remove swelling also. You might consider adding a drop or two to wet food and feed her by syringe since she is stressed out.

Green and yellow poop isnt a good sign. I recommend you feed her probiotics such as plain yogurt or buttermilk, mixed with scrambled egg (extra protein) mixed in her layer crumbles and feed it to her. I wouldnt give her any other types of feed/or human food until she has normal looking poop. Do not reworm her, she is in a very weakened condition and needs to regain her strength and health. I recommend you buy some poultry nutri drench and give her 1 drop orally twice a day for 3 days, then stop. It can cause diarrhea. Nutra drench is loaded with vitamins and minerals.
As far as her eye is concerned, use a warm damp wash rag and try and hold it on her eye as best as you can to draw out any pus or other goop. Dont use salt. After about 10 minutes of holding the wash rag to her eye, apply the terramycin as directed. You'll need to do this 3 or 4 times a day. It'll take time to heal, be prepared to do this routine for possibly quite awhile.

Miss Precious' eye didn't look any better except I did what Dawg53 suggested and held a warm compress on it and an icky thing that looked like a scab came off so that had to be good but the eye still didn't look good. I put the ointment on and called the vet as soon as I could. I love this vet! She is so awesome. She called me back within a half hour. I told her what was happening and she asked me if I knew how to tube feed

and I told her my story about why I didn't feel comfortable doing that and I asked if she could be admitted and Dr. Z. said absolutely. So I took Miss Precious to the chicken hospital. Except for the eye, she really doesn't look bad despite not eating. She doesn't feel like she's lost weight, she feels the same as she always does and she is still pretty perky. Dr. Zyra was optimistic and is going to tube feed her, give fluids, vitamins, and worm her again. I told her I had given her Wazine but that was about 10 or 11 days ago. I feel very good about her being there, they are awesome and Precious' chances of survival are greatly increased. Precious is my special girl and I told Dr. Z. to do whatever she needed to do. Probably not a prudent use of resources ($$$) but she's my girl!
