I recently noticed that one of my leghorn chicks has a very swollen bum. I was away for a few days and my family was looking after them and when I came back this is what I see. The chick is still eating but not as active as the others. Does anyone know how or why this could of happened and what to do?! First picture is of the swollen chick and the second is how big the rest of them are

I believe the chick is pooping since they don’t have pasty butt. But I’ll have to watch the chick for a few mins to see if she really does
See if she is straining to poop. You might want to feed her some pieces of chilled coconut oil.

A chick can poop and still be constipated. If it has a swollen vent (that thing below the tail where the poop comes out) chances are it's from straining to poop. If the chick is chirping loudly when it poops, it's definitely constipated. Give it oil as @DobieLover suggested.

Does the bottom feel like there is air underneath the skin? Chicks can get a bump and have a leaking air sac in one of many areas of the body. Or does it feel like fat or fluid?
Doesn’t feel like air. Feels the same as feeling the others. Just a normal feeling squishy chick. Her skin on her bun is purplish bluish tho
