Found our tom turkey standing in his pen today with his head down (eyes open). He lives with two other ladies, both of which seem fine. Usually the three of them come running when we feed them, but tom was just standing there with his head down the whole time. Tried just putting some food in front of his face and he didn't go for it. Did get him to drink some water when we put it in front of him.

We did leave for a bit and when we came back, he had moved into the covered part of the enclosure on his own. I tried standing him up straight a few times to see if he could keep his head up but he slowly starts to droop it to the ground. Couldnt tell but he might have been a little unsteady on his feet?

Looked around for any weird droppings but didn't see anything other than the usual. Face and nose look free of discharge. He was quieter than usual, but no odd noises either. Any suggestions what this could be?

So sorry your turkey is ill. :hugs
How old? What breed? What does he eat?
Can you put him in a hospital cage on a towel so you can see his next poop?

He should be about 2 to 3 years old. I think he's a standard bronze, although I'm not 100%. They're on Nutrena All Flock 20% Protein pellets.

I'll see if I can get him in a hospital cage tomorrow to check his poop.

What was ever wrong with your turkey. My Henry is kind of doing the same thing.
