Sick Turkey Hen

We'll have to make her a good breakfast... For sure have yogurt and eggs! Guess I better go to bed now so I'm good and energized to take care of our sweet feathered turkey "Janet"... My wife named her... Good night all!

Well... The good news is she's still alive and not worse than last night but doesn't seem better. Made her some scrambled eggs with raspberry yogurt ( didn't have any plain yogurt )and a little bit of honey ( only had the kind in the bear shaped bottle) she seemed like she was interested but did not eat... I saw her drink some electrolyte water this morning. Looks like she pooped once. I'm guessing we might have to tube feed her. She is alert and can stand... Looking for positives as we still aren't sure what's wrong.

I did get her to eat a couple of bits of her scrambled egg breakfast. Took pic of her poo from this earlier. In the first pic it's in the top left part of the picture. She pooped again and it appears there may be some yellow... Blackhead maybe?

Yes she's a pet... Started treatment for blackhead. Been down this road before... Didn't see it sooner 'cause she wasn't pooping any yellow til this morning

yes... She weighs around 10- 15 lbs. We gave her 3ccs of safeguard last night. This morning after seeing some yellow in her poo we gave her 250 mg of metronidizole and .5 CC's of baytril. Will give her another .5 CC's of baytril around supper time.

Not sure if we should go ahead and tube feed her (she did eat a little bit of her eggs/ yogurt/ honey breakfast and drank some electrolyte water) or if we should let her rest for a bit and let the meds. have some time to work and see if shell eat on her own...
