im having major problems in my field with flooding, its been a major mud pit for three weeks now. we've got the water away but its left behind mud mud and more mud.

this week all 5 turkeys have been sluggish and standing around hunched up. 2 were so bad i brought them inside where they perked right up in 12 hours.now the other 3 are looking so terrible but i have no room inside for them. their poops look fine (so not cocci) they are eating a little (not much) just standing around eyes closed feathers hunched.

im not sure how to deal with them? they are 7 months old so a bit too big to bring them all inside, but i have moved them out of the field onto my terras (pplenty of shelter and its not muddy)

any idea what i can give them to perk them up??

make sure their water isnt freezing, maybe is theres a shelter windproof it, or put them in a garage or something? Maybe you could rotate the turkeys into your house?

would be a good idea to give them electrolytes and vitamins in their water and have extra feed available. Do they have perches to get off the ground? I give mine extra coastal hay to bed in when it gets real cold they seem to like it.

Switch out the improved for the puny. Hopeful that move to terrace (out of mud) will do the trick. You might consider dumping enough sand over terrace to make clean up less of a chore (if that is an issue).

Go a head my friend get you a pack of insulin needles and bottle of Tylan, and treat them for it gets out of control, we wet and muddy and raining and mine started, the first time the vet told me treat your animals just like children or grown ups, URI, Upper Respritory Infection.
