Sickly duck at local produce store...

I'm here now and it actually looks much better than it did last week, however it's still breathing heavily, wheezing and not moving around much. Its eyes do look a little brighter. What do you guys think...?

Actually, since I sent in a complaint about conditions here - they may have brushed me off, but it does look like they've cleaned up a bit. Not much, but a little.
If i was standing there I could not leave that poor duck there. Looks like some one has plucked it. your decision just giving my 2 cents. I'd take it home clean it up give it some good feed fresh water with a tiny bit of ACV in it and watch it for a day or 2, if it doesn't show improvement in breathing then I'd get an oral antibiotic and start giving that to it. A nice warm bath does it even have a bowl deep enough to wash it's face?

^ Only water is in the chick waterer.

What breed does this look like to you guys? Does it have too little feathers/markings to tell? I just saw some staff walk past, I think there's an inspection going on. May be why it's cleaner at the moment...

It is a sinu infection. The antibiotics I recomended will work. Keep it quqrinteened untill the infection is gone. The sulphite powder is the easiest, not expensive. If you get the duck I can send tou a few doses of tylan, you just need to get the hyperdermic needle. Small gadge.

Looks like a stressed duck.

I would start with two warm (80 degree F) baths deep enough to float in daily. Just some clean water, a chance to bathe.

That said, it is possible it would be afraid of water if it has never had a swim pan. So see how it goes. But some clean warm water and hydrotherapy would help.

I would give poultry vitamins and electrolytes twice a week in the water.

Thank you for bringing it home.

I would spray the face and eyes with Vetericyn spray or saline solution.

We have a 3ml syringe at home, will this do? Sulphite powder...should I ask for it here or where would I get it from? Sorry for all the questions! I've never really had a problem with my chickens so I've never had to look for antibiotics etc.

Haven't brought it home yet! I've been walking around the compound on my phone with this forum as I trust what you guys say over whatever they'll tell me here, since my dealings with them have been so uninformed and with such lack of concern. :/ But I am about to go ask if it is even for sale.

The sinus infection is from the duck not being able to wash it's face. They have to be able to put their heads in to clean theis sinuses. The water is only in a self chicken waterer. That looks dirty too. Either take the duck and run, or get it a big bowel of water. Big enough to dunk it's whole head.
