ugh... sorry to hear that!

I'm doing everything I can to beat it before it gets bad:

Vit C 2000 mgs every six hours

Xylitol nasal/ear drops and throat gargle

Chicken Soup - homemade w/ tons of garlic, onion and thyme

Aspirin (works wonders)

Guafenesin (that amazing miracle substance)

Lots of water

We've been sick for a month over here already, sniffly noses and all.

Then we have the 5 year old with the amazing 101.5 fever that spikes when we go to the doctor's to get her flu shot, then disappears by the time we get home

Can stress cause a fever to spike?

have had a cough since the second week of Sept. when I got it from my kid, who got it from some other kid in school.
My daughter was sick and was out of school for a week with a double ear infection and a NASTY NASTY "cold"? I think it was the flu myself. And it is still in her class. Two kids last week(her first week back) were sent home after one threw up not half way thru the day and the other spiked a fever when her medicine wore off. Kid actually told the teacher that her mom had given her Tylenol that morning to "mask" the fever when she woke up and old her she didnt feel well. Nice.

Myself. I am taking my dd out if she gets another cough etc. Not risking it again. She has an appt with the hearing specialist this week. And I am going to see my doc this week. I get bronchitis so easily.. and do not want to be hacking up lung all winter

I have had mine since last sunday, it started with a sore throat now its the sore throat, runny nose, achy all over, massive head ache and I have to work 8 hour days outside painting the hardware store, it sucks. I need a rainy day so I can stay home.

I find that the further you can distance yourself from any sort of contact with a child, the healthier you will stay.

(Also, keeping your fingers away from your nostrils and eyeball tear ducts helps too.)

You're on the money with that one. My kid sneezed directly into my eye last winter. Turned into a whopping case of viral pink eye. Awesome.
