My chicken's side of the face is white. I'm wondering if it fungus or something. Should I keep her separated from the others? Here's a picture.

The picture isn't coming through. Perhaps you don't have enough posts yet to add pictures.

Is it possible you're talking about the earlobe? Many breeds have white earlobes that begin to turn white as they mature.

See the white lobe on the rooster in my avatar?

Sussex lay light brown eggs so are supposed to have red earlobes.

Normally, white earlobes = white eggs.
red earlobe = brown eggs.

The only breeds I'm aware of that deviate from this formula are Penedesencas and Empordanesas which should have white earlobes and lay extremely dark eggs.
Hollands, Redcaps and the extinct Lamona lay white eggs but have red earlobes.
Phoenix have red lobes and lay white to tinted eggs.
Yokohama lay have white lobes and lay a lightly tinted egg.

Interesting, so my Sussex should have red earlobes, but she has white. I have heard of some fungus that is on earlobes of chickens. How should I treat this. And is it contagious to other chickens?

I don't think it's fungus. I believe it is a flaw, in that she has white patina or misting on the earlobe rather than all red.
If it were a fungus, it wouldn't be confined to the earlobe.
