oh i know it..my husband never frets over anything, and ive done that too, the accidentally waking the baby up in a panic thing..then they scream their heads off because they were sleeping so good!

there was no worries last night for sure..that boy cried almost every hour on the hour! he just wanted to be held though.

I'm a neonatal icu nurse. What we tell parents is put them on their back, head turned to the side, and nothing else in the bed, no pillows or animals. Instead of a blanket, wrap him if you think he'll get cold, or put thicker clothes on. He can have tummy time when he's awake and you are there, like when he's in the living room with you.
If he spits up when he's in the crib, roll up a blanket and just prop up one side of him but not too much.

It's frustrating how the rules change constantly. You never know from year to year what the new rules will be. I will say my tummy sleeping little ones all have perfect round heads. LOL

She does too. If she doesn't sleep on her tummy or side she snores and chokes. But meds don't really work she's been on 17 different ones in her first 2 yrs. But she has several different issues that cause hers and I finally gave up on meds she is so delicate she gets all the side effects. Diet helps though but its hard to deny her it all she is 5 she knows what happens and will only eat very small amounts. There was a time when she was about 3 and 4 where she'd hardly eat cause she didn't want to hurt. Thank goodness we got it somewhat under control. Docs treat kids with issues different though so don't put your little one on his belly unless your comfortable with it.
