...and now I am worried.... I thought they were one week older than my babies, but I think one of them is 2 weeks older.....will this cause them all to fight?

This is the difference in the wing development of two of the new ones. (Red Sex Links)

I just intergrated my silkie chicks in with some of my hatchery chicks. The hatchery ones are about a week older than the others. Anyhow, I have had more pecking and bossing around from the little tiny silkies (mind you the other chicks are large fowl.) It really is cute and they are by no means hurting each other. I think I would just supervise them to begin with and watch for any bad pecking. Otherwise within a day you should see them getting along fine.

use something like hardware cloth, with all pointy parts taken off to seperate them into two sections in the brooder for a few days. that is only if you are really worried. otherwise unless some seem to be bullys I would leave them be.

Turn out (so far) that the little chicks are far more bossy......I guess cause they were there first and the new girls are feeling shy because they are in a new place.....
