*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

The thread doesn't stop. Like many of the old people on here, it just has to take a nap every once in a while before it gets back to it's inherent obnoxiousness.

Okay. Not quite the day I had in mind.

Our heat wave over, I was planning on catching up with the
mowing.

Daughter decided otherwise.

It seems she isn't very good at catching a ball. Some game they
were playing at church last night, she managed to catch the ball
but also stubbed her finger pretty good.

It was all swelled and purpley this morning. Off to the good doctor
we go. Hospital did ask us (really) if we wanted an adult doctor or
a child doctor. I told the lady I was kind of hoping all the doctors were
adults.

Fractured (ring) finger.

Now in a splint, make an appointement for a cast tomorrow.

See Sour? Naps are much more fun than this.

Spook

Anything is more fun than injuries to your child. I still have the memories.

Luckily the kids inform us of the grandkids' accidents after they are well on the way to healing.

Well, her finger didn't fall off through the night.
That's a good thing.

Now back to the drawing board...been a long hot summer
already. Hard on animals (and spook)

I think we need to design a new chicken. Easier to take care of.
Especially for the city-folk among us...

How about...

an electric chicken, battery operated.

Just pour in the feed in the evening, let it simmer overnight and
in the morning, the hen song and out pops an egg. Your choice of
brown or white...

And everyone should have a rooster...

new battery operated model that flaps his wings and crows every
morning at first dawn. Light sensor Extra setting for some random
crowing throughout the day.

What do you think? All I need is for someone to design them, and someone
else to make them.

They can come in a "kit" form. Pieces you assemble, they start as new chicks.
Few weeks late, you can add new feathers, bigger beaks. Just like a Potatohead.
Until you get to the perfect adult size hen and presto...no fuss fresh eggs.

"City-Slicker Chickens"...this Christmas must have item.
