Sheesh. It's official. Now BOTH my best friends have been kissed, and I am stuck being me. Forever alone Tani. On the bright side, my friend Miriam found it absolutely gross, as the guy who was kissing her was a lot more into it than she was.

And, as to get all of my romantic angst out at once, I am once again getting a dodged a bullet feeling in regards to The Captain.... he's going to wear a Cat In The Hat hat, a bowtie, and a rubber chicken to his first day of school. Hopefully he'll wear other things too, but thats his "official" getup. I told him he'd look like a gay dweeb, but I'm not sure he took me seriously.

Don't rush it, Tani. When the right one comes along, you'll know it. As for his first day of school outfit.... I'd love to be a fly on the wall!! We weren't allowed to do anything like that back in the Dark Ages...

But believe it or not, I once saw a pic of a guy wearing a Cat in the Hat hat over an obituary that began, "On such and such a date, so and so surprised and annoyed his wife by dying in his sleep." Evidently he was quite a character, as was the obit writer!

"Have been kissed" makes it sound like something that is done to you - I've always thought of it as something someone does with you.

I don't reckon you can expect a young sparkly to know the difference.

But even those that aren't great kissers can learn.

Well, when he gets finished, he can come paint several rooms here for me!!

I've been trying to get carpet torn up and rooms painted for 2 years now. Got the hallway, small bathroom and 2 bedrooms done, but still have to do the rest of the trailer. oh, well, maybe next year!!


I figured he was out at the moat, fishing.

Just on a side note...had to share. Got up this morning, it was a beautiful day. Sun shining, not a cloud in the sky! So I hung a load of laundry on the clothesline to dry. Wouldn't you know it, it started pouring down rain!!! Went out to get the clothes and there are no rain clouds overhead!! It's blue sky!!

Crazy weather.

I was busy painting my alligator yesterday. Painted the big owl
the other day.

Something that stays in the woods. Lives by the side of the
trail.

Time for some remodel projects up there. Old things to take down,
new things to put up.

Not only as Halloween props but more back to the original reason
of entertaining my daughter and her friends. One of their favorite
things to do is to head for the ever-changing woods.

I've added a few new trails this time as I've cut the wind damaged
trees away. Now a small maze effect and you will get twisted around.
A number of 4-way intersections, dead end paths. You better know
where you're going.

I'm thinking of maybe putting some "faces" on a section of trees. I'm
thinking spray foam and paint.

Added two new arches you have to pass under. Made of twisted vines
and small limbs. Pretty cool in the daylight and a lot more scary under
strobes.

Put two new graves in. Need some grave-markers. Headstone? Cross?
Haven't got that far in the plan yet.

So the woods are an ever changing project.

Hana is asking about a party for all her friends before school starts. And
if she gets it, that probably means I'll set enough dummies and strobes
to entertain for a hayride. Plenty of wood for a bonfire already.

One of these days I'll try to learn how to do pictures to post.
