The crying was just Spook. He has a bellyache from all those tomatoes and cukes.

Some people just don't know when to stop.

I wish he'd have left me a cuke, though. DH only planted tomatoes and peppers this year - mostly hot pepper varieties. I don't know why he wants so many hot peppers, he's the only one around here that eats them, and there's still a bunch of them in the freezer from last year. Maybe if I could plant some right now, there'd be enough time to get some cukes here before frost kills the plants.

Is it just me, or has anybody else noticed the absence
of the new girl Terra since Em found my lime pile?

I was talking to Terry on the phone this morning a bit. He
said that Em had been hunting in the barn for a shovel recently.
All he could get out of her was that she had "something special"
planted up beyond the garden and for him not to go up there for
a while.

Now, Glen Mississippi wasn't a very big town in the first place.
It only boasted a population of three.

Could it be time to count the people again? Are they down to two?

What with Sour wanting to toss someone (anyone) in the moat
yesterday, and Terra gone missing...

All I can say is for everyone to watch their back.

Bunny...at the risk of making a visit to the insane asylum, I had a suggestion regarding hot peppers. I grow some every year even though I generally do not eat them. However, I use a lot of olive oil for cooking and I cut up some of the hot peppers and put them in the olive oil to steep for a bit. The olive oil then becomes infused with the hot peppers and it absolutely fantastic for cooking of any kind. For whatever you are cooking it lends a bit of heat without being overbearing. I have tried it with roast rabbit fricasee and it is great.
