What is the matter with these people? At least our schools separate the classes by gender for this.

But of course, we all know that the phrase "immature guys" is redundant.

I once knew a teacher who taught a life skills class. Among other things she covered was sex education and she didn't have any trouble with the guys giggling about "girl parts" or anything else. Why? Because she would make the biggest smart mouth stand up in front of the class and explain to everyone just what was so funny and why. Nothing like a little humiliation to put things in perspective. The fact that she was an ex drill instructor didn't hurt. She would also have someone from social services come out and point out some of the long term consequences of producing a child out of wedlock. Social Services explained to them how they could and did attach wages from the father (underage or not) for child support. This last tended to get their attention. Most of them had never thought of that.

Why, the school that I attended way long ago. They had to teach us about 'it' way back then.

As Catholics, my family is very open but very firm about "it." (We aren't allowed to say that word here, are we?) it's an ongoing dialogue, but us kids know what the proper order of things is. We can be friends with the opposite sex, even go on group dates, but we aren't allowed one-on-one dating until we are 18. Which I'm ok with, it makes my relationships with my guy friends so much less complicated! And, watching my older sister, I've seen what comes of casual hookups. She's stuck with a guy who is all wrong for her because she couldn't wait until marriage to have fun, and they made a baby together. They're stuck.
