*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Hi ya Bunny, hi ya Doodle. I had about six hairs on my head until I was a year old. My Pawpaw was a barber so he snipped them off. . . .I mean completely off, much to the chagrin of my Mom. Now I have to have a haircut every two weeks.

Wisher, those are right handsome boys you got there!

Hiya J.D! My hair is so long now, I'm thinking of taking the scissors and cutting it myself! Mini's hair grows wonderfully, but mine...well, let's just say, I was not born with the best of hair.

I HAVE decided to stop dyeing it though. I figure I've earned every one of these grey hairs, why not show'em off!

Anyway, I'm off here. Have to drive Dad to Beckley in the morning to go to the dentist. Not looking forward to it. I do not like driving that twisted two lane road up that mountain!!

Night!

I feel like joining in on the baby facts... All of my family was born with thick, dark hair. Longest hair was Isaac, who was born looking like he had a full mullet. Biggest baby was Sam, at 10 pounds, one ounce. Pavel and Isaac tied for second at 9lbs, 8 oz. I was 8lbs, 7 oz (and I sure have grown a lot!) I was also the "mellow baby." Never cried, snuggled a lot, smiling before I was a month old... Most of my siblings are like that.

Anywhoo, I held the baby! Can I bug you with another pic?

Also, my trip to the cardiologist went well! I had a heart sonogram which was AWESOMELY COOL. More testing to come, but so far it's been determined that I have a mitral valve prolapse. :weee

Thanks! They got all their looks from their dad...

...I've still got mine.

Speaking of looks, our daughter is dark haired and dark complected. Her first two children are blondes. I told her that she needed to carry their birth certificates at all times or she would be accused of kidnapping. Robbie, Bob, Bobby, Robert' the wonder boy and her third child looks like he belongs to us dark haired and complected and somewhat squirrely.

Hubby and his two sisters are all blonde with blue-grey eyes. His older brother has black hair and brown eyes. Hubby told me they always wondered about his mom and the milkman . . .

Mom was dark haired and complected. Dad brown/auburn haired and more fair skinned. Oldest sister and I - dark haired and complected. Several times I have been questioned about my ethnicity - once by the police - funny story. Middle sister (the evil one) red haired, fair skinned, freckled. Dad tried to blame her on the red haired mailman. My mother just said look in the mirror and face up to your behavior.

Gus leaves for training today...bittersweet moment for me.

Just remember that he will come back with a much better understanding of what his job is and how to communicate with you better. It really is easier to have someone else train them, they don't have the emotional attachment that you have and will not confuse him on what is expected. You can spoil him when he knows how to follow directions.

But I know it's hard to send them off on their first day of school......
