*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

My little Spook finally got her braces off today.
How pretty she looks.

...and Alaskan, I was telling her about you. First thing she wanted
to know...since you live in Alaska, can you run on up to the North
Pole for her?

....I can e-mail you a list of some things she would like you to pick
up...

I would not like a snake to kill my duck.
I would not like that at all.

Spook does not like snakes.

Sorry Bunny. But it's time to go snake hunting now.

Spook

*Spook does not have ducks now. Had two, bought with the chickens from TSC a few years ago. Was great fun to watch them try to "roost' with the chickens. Anyone ever see a duck fall out of a tree? The ducks finally gave up, just slept on the ground.

*When Hana was very young, a toddler, there was a little animal park up the road. We would go, feed the ducks. We were standing on the bridge feeding the ducks in the water when one snuck up behind her and bit her thumb going for the bag of food Hana was holding. Cried like a baby...
So did the duck die after it started crying??? lol

Spook, my orthodontist used to say that he thought all of his patients ought to have to wear a t-shirt that read, "Smile by Dr's Visser, Martin, and McGuire" for a month after the braces came off. That big, beaming smile right after the braces come off is perfect advertising.

At the same time as I had braces, one of my best friends had them, too. Her teeth were stubborn; she had to wear headgear pretty much all day to get them to move. She referred to her headgear as her "kiss deflector."

I got bitten on the finger by a swan when I was about 7. My fault - I should have dropped the bread in the water. Got a nasty gash from it, too.

That was just a swan kiss, Bunny! You should have been wearing one of those kiss deflectors. I have two ducklings, but I am not experienced with ducklings. They will both give me "kisses" on the mouth if I hold them up to my face. Do all ducks do that? Is it just when they are little? They also like to kiss, or as I call it, "wubble," my Crocks when I am in their presence. They seem to be the sweetest things, but then again, they could be trying to maim me and I wouldn't know it. Still, I can't resist holding them up to my face and getting those pinchy little duck kisses.

The pole is too tall, very skinny, and also slippery. Tell her that Alaskan is too old to climb it, and anyway, the only thing at the very top is a white metal ball. That white ball is also quite firmly attached, there is no way that Alaskan can get it off.

Alaskan.... About to have Bar-b-que

Oops! It is starting to get dark...guess I should turn those little eggs and go to bed (11:43pm, gotta LOVE that summer sunshine!)

Alaskan.....who woke up yesterday thinking some child was standing at the bedside with a spotlight......perhaps better black-out shades are called for.
