*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Ah, once I was as naive as you. Once, on a long car trip in my days of extreme youth and a weak stomach, I did eat my fill of the foul beans and root beer, then proceed to drive along a very twisty, turny, hilly stretch of mountain road.
The results were not pretty.
Since that day, the foul taste of jelly beans has been in all ways loathsome and repulsive.

But rainbow vomit

must have created spectacular memories for the rest of the family. Life is all about these shared family experiences.

Alaskan are you sure your an elder and not creaking due to being partially frozen???? You got rid of the snow, but are you thawed out yet???? my parents paid extra at the hospital they brought home a child with a smart mouth....

I would love to know why so many people are starting to question my elderly status.

AH! I know! It is this glorious sun shine!

The Alaskan perpetual summer sun,
that is bathing me with blessed light and warmth,
so that the snow is gone,
and weeds do grow a full foot a day,
and the little song birds come down, to eat the peas as they spout,
and when ever the pain of my muscles and joints, subside to only a dull roar, I must leap up and work
Work on the coop
Work on the run
Work on the flower beds
Work on the vegetable garden
Feed the turkeys
Turn the eggs
Care for the chicks
Wonder why in the world I own black out drapes that DON'T cover the entire window

Alaskan.... Wishing the coffee were strong enough

As a kid, I was notorious for my weak stomach. None of my siblings sat next to me in the car if they could avoid it. If we were traveling on a mountain road, I would be doped with Dramamine and occasionally sleeping pills. I once hurled all over the lady in front of me on a zoo train (she was very gracious about it.) I am the only person I know who got a stomach flu AND strep throat at the same time (at Disneyland, mind you.)
Thankfully, I'm 17 now, and have grown out of such things.

When my son was little, he got strep throat several times. Each time, he never said a word about his throat hurting, it was always his stomach throwing a fit that clued me in (that, and a scary high temperature!) Unfortunately for both of us, he hasn't outgrown it, and even common colds get the ol' tummy going for him.
