Today I felt really really old.
"We" as in me, my wife, and my daughter went to get
my hair cut. She decided I can no longer do this on my
own.
And....I fell asleep in the big comfy barber chair.
That was bad....rumor has it that Spook might snore.
And as I've said before, Spook might not have all the hair
he use to....down to three hairs now. (but they get wild)
$12.00....that's like $4.00 hair to cut. And people thought
Jesse James was a crook.
I even had to wait my turn. There were already four other
old guys ahead of me. Waited twenty minutes. All five of
us didn't have a full head of hair between us.
It took us longer to actually get IN the chair than it took the
barber to cut our hair. And naturally, my wife complained
about that. So the barber-man said he had thinking about
starting a "walk-through" line for bald guys like me.
Now, my barber and me...we go way back. He was cutting
my hair when I actually had hair. He's cut my hair since I was
a boy. He cut my daddy's hair, he cut my grand daddy's hair.
So he's a little old. Matter of fact, he's in a wheelchair. And
his hands shake a bit. But he doesn't have to get to close to
my ears. My three hairs are all on top, thankfully. I don't know
as I would trust this man with sissors to close to my ears. As
it is, he cut my three hairs. But they aren't even. Almost.
Within a half inch or so. And he trimmed one of my eyebrows.
But that's alright.
I really think the man needs glasses. I don't think he can see
too good up close these days.
But at least he gave my a lollipop for not crying this time.

On the way home, we stopped at the hardware.
My wife wanted a new broom. So she was studying
them out, looking at the different ones. At her age and
all, it's an important decision. She was pretty serious
about the whole thing.
I think the salesclerk made her mad.

It is worse than it was yesterday.
Today it keeps threatening rain, and is starting to contemplate blowing strongly and violently.
One of those, hummmm, I only have a few hours left before the bar-b-que grill blows away, better bolt it down.
Alaskan is going to find a vey deep hole, Alaskan will put pointy spiky things in the bottom. Very long point spiky things.
Alaskan thinks that Sour AND Spook should jump into the pit.
Sunday is the day - perigee or 'super moon'.

Well, I've got to head to work. Bunny, is the ear cleaning appointment still on for Monday? I hope so, those ears are so cute! I wonder if the Queen would like hers cleaned? Oh well, gotta run.

Oh, yeah, Big Kitty. Wouldn't miss it.
And don't be too hard on Alaskan. She's just finally gotten rid of the snow, gets a few days of actual summer, and now she's got both Sour and Spook going on about cold. Hey, cool, rainy days get me down, too, and I get a lot more than 6 days of summer per year!
