This brings up a point of contention with me. Dudes, first base is always supposed to be first! Always! Do not run straight to third base, or even to second base. The order MATTERS! There are lines drawn, for goodness sakes, follow them! It really doesn't matter if you have been playing for many, many years, it's still not okay to skip first base! As a matter of fact, if the other team is not thrilled when you have been on first base a while, going to second or third is not going to make the inning better.
