*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

the last wreck my mom was in I was with her we were coming to a street we had right of way because it was a thoroughfare the other driver a college girl in the local university was from IL had to stop at a stop sign I tried to tell my mom to slow down or stop because I thought this girl wasn't going to. my mom the all knowing woman she is and I the mentally challenged dumber than a rock (at least that's what her and her twin sister who's lived on welfare for years because it's everyone fault but not hers that she has no college education and no job) needed to be shushed and not talk because she needed to tell me something more important than not being hit by a car. Well the girl drove thru the stop sign because she said "I thought it was a 4 way stop" (well did it occur to you that perhaps if that were true we could blow a stop sign? duh!) It was just before Christmas break and we got her car to a body shop after calling the cops and insurance company (mom called hers and they said they would handle it for her they are good with customer service plus the girl had the IL. version of the ins. company mom had) she called a week and a half later asked the agent what was going on with the claim he said he hadn't heard back from the other agent so he'd call again since it was more than enough time for the girl's dad the owner of the car and policy to call back since they got the girl on the first call. I told my mom she now has just ruined her Christmas break I thought she was going to tell mommy and daddy just as she's running out the door for school so that they couldn't chew her out over being careless and not owning up to it earlier......

Al, if it cheers you up a bit, I just saw our first tulip shoots starting to erupt in the front yard. And that spot gets less sun. They're already about an inch above the ground, I think we might be getting flowers in the weekend. At least I think they're tulips. Maybe they were something else. But still, a sign of spring.

Thanks to a couple of icing events and some unseasonably hard rains in the last few weeks, most of my spring flowers are lying flat on the ground. These cheerful little miniatures aren't - sometimes, being short is good! Of course, I had to lie flat on the ground to get this shot . . . .

So pretty. :) I have been seeing the large Daffadills around here. So nice of you to go out of your way for us...onto the ground!

Dangit Sour! I knew this had to be somehow his fault!

Ya know, for this I am willing to take the blame.

Congratulations, Em, and MFB.

Alaskan, you are still not out of the woods. I just have the feeling that yours will be the next announcement.

The Princess and I just got back from celebrating her birthday. Today someone asked if we were 'dating'. Yes, for the last 53 years or so.
