Sourland just got back from Thanskgiving dinner at his daughter's.

Grand daughter's boy friend was there. Nice kid, but --- too much emotion there.

Papa Joe ( the other grandfather) said to me, "Do you think that I need to tell him that if he hurts our grandaughter, I'll kill him?" I think that I convinced Papa Joe that was not a good idea.

MFB, Sourland has lost his touch. His own grand daughter refuses to wear the bucket I got for her. It was a big beautiful orange Home Depot bucket - the very best.

Younger buckets are on back order. Wear the trash can for now.

Jeez Sour..... Won't even wear designer colors? This is not good. You did watch to be sure there was no hand holding or other bad things didn't you?

Em, true story, my wife was not allowed to meet my family until after we were engaged. I was afraid they would scare her away . This boy is a very nice kid - polite, intelligent, well spoken, an athlete with plans for his future, but they are only 17 years old.

If they were, you know, like 30 or so, I would give my blessings.

The Princess thinks that, "it's cute." CUTE?

Her reply, "Well, I was 17 when we started dating and 19 when we got married." That was different. We were mature.

Or dumb and lucky.

Amazing how outlooks change.
