Went out to check on everyone else, and there sat Clovis outside the door, looking very dejected and about as apologetic as a duck could look!

Feathers all torn up, beak scratched, dehydrated, feet dusty and worn out. Wow. Lucky duck, indeed!

I hope Clovis is doing ok after his little adventure. One of the first things I was told when I expressed an interest in getting Calls was, "they can fly really well. If you want them to stay home, you need a covered pen, or you'll need to clip their wings."

Yah... I was practicing with him for show, so I didn't clip his wings. But I did just now, and put him in the bantam coop so the dog can't get to him. He's doing just fine!
