Okay, I broke down and pulled five eggs from the broody and left her with an even twenty. She has no trouble covering that many. Now if I can just keep the other hens from laying in there.....

Mark the eggs with a pencil or Sharpie. If you use a pencil, make the marks wide and dark, or they may rub off. Check every day, and remove the unmarked eggs. Within a week, it'll be easier to tell which are which, because the new eggs will have a matte finish. Eggs that the hen has been incubating will get polished by her feathers, and become rather glossy.

It's not exactly blank Sour, there's a bunch of images of her smooching with sparkly boys. Has to be her imagination or something. Sometimes being telepathic isn't much fun.

Actually, I'm not sure. Sometimes Orps is a bit demented, so you can never really tell.
