lady, I went there out of boredom - somewhat fearful I went. I yelled, sang a little song, dropped some carrots, did a little dance nothing replied. The silence is eerie, and their is an ominous chill in the air. I've neverseen any of the environs like that.

Well, the chill is obvious - it's Wintertime, duh. As to the silence, it is only January 2nd. You know what party animals the Pookas are. They started partying well before Christmas, and they kept it up right through New Years. But even they get tuckered out eventually, so now they're sleeping it off. Be glad you didn't wake them. There's nothing nastier than a Pooka deprived of its Boo-ty sleep!

It is never supposed to be cold in MY Kingdom. It makes my hands hurt, and I get grumpy. And we all know what happens when I get grumpy...

I was talking about the labyrinth, silly. Remember? They live by their own rules down there. They believe they can't have a Winter Solstice party without cold, so they imported some snow. The big cavern looks like something out of Dr. Zhivago! And you should see the ice sculptures . . . .

Wow... The labyrinth sounds more fun than the castle itself!
It's cold here, we even got snow. And I got new chickens yesterday, some giant Cochins. I'd love to see that pesky hawk try to cart these birds off!

Ah, yes, the good ol' Pooka sense of humor - maybe.

The big cavern is pretty deep, about as deep as I've ever gone, anyway. The sculptors have really outdone themselves. There's even a half-sized replica of the White Queen's ice palace from The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe; really cool! But as you can imagine, with all that ice and snow around, it's a bit like leaving the freezer door open - so the whole labyrinth is bound to be a bit chilly.

Seriously. Sometimes with the creatures in the labyrinth, you wish they would just eat you and get it over with.

Considering how diabolical I can be, I think the labyrinth denizens would welcome me with open arms. Even the pookas.
