Okay by me. What will YOU be wearing?

We put up the tree yesterday, much to the immense delight of the smaller set. I'm currently being brought ornaments taken OFF of the tree while being chattered at in a language I don't understand.
"OOOOOOH! Eeeeee! Woah DAT. Eeee! Oooh... Oh, YEAH!"
All I can decipher is the "Oh, YEAH!" part, but I think the baby likes the tree.

Ah, little people and Christmas decorations!

My son was enraptured by the lights.

That story has shaken loose one of my earliest memories; I must have been just shy of two years old at the time. My mother was putting up a garland that had little (plastic) poinsettias with tiny red lights at the centers of the flowers. I remember watching her, and thinking that I was going to surprise her by saying a word that she didn't know I knew. When she stepped back to critique her handiwork, I said, "pret-ty!"
You never know what kids will remember . . . .
