*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

To keep people from feeling left out, it's only fair to play one-on-one.

Oh Bunny, that brought tears to my eyes. I loved her! I have a CD of hers in my SUV. What a sad sad life. She struggled for so long. We have a daughter that is struggling with the same illness. She is actually doing pretty good right now.

Yeah, I realize that video is a bit of a downer. I'm glad your daughter is doing well, Cyn.

It's funny. Critter and I were talking about the Carpenters, and he said, "she should have been a country singer, since most of her songs were, you know, 'rip your heart out and stomp that sucker flat.'" It's true that their music generally had more depth and sophistication, but it wasn't all sad. There's the almost saccharine "We've Only Just Begun," about the bright promise of two young people heading off down the road of life together (I wonder how many weddings that's been sung/played at?). And of course, one of my favorites to warble along to:

For me, she was a role model, in that she had a lower voice and played a drum kit. I could never carry a tune, but alone in the car I sang just like Karen! LOL Cool, classy lady lost much too soon.
