Thanks everyone, It is just one day at a time. I am trying to manage 30 acres, 2 highland heifers, assorted other critters. I think the heifers will have to go. Help is hard to find.
.Spook, I make killer brownies. I've been making them since I was about 7 years old, and that is a really long time. Since you know where New Concord is maybe you and your wife should make a drive. Would love to meet you in person. You helped me through my Mom's death, then my brother's. I don't know that I will ever totally recover from Doug's. Glad to see you back here and I will be dropping in too.

We just had a huge thunderstorm roll through here. Kicked me off the internet. I have satellite and a heavy rain will shut it down. I don't want to look at the pen and pasture in the morning. It will be muck boot time.

Wisher, Hadn't even thought of the National this year. What are the dates?

November 7, 8, and 9th in Columbus. It should be huge, as it is the 100th Anniversary of the ABA and has expanded to two ag buildings this year. I went last year, it was in one building, and was INCREDIBLE!! There were around 8,000 birds in that building. It wouldn't surprise me if the bird count reaches 10,000 this year.

The other day someone asked me how old I was...I blurted out "24!"...then I got to thinking about it...and I said "no, wait, I'm 27"...well a few hours later I sat down and did the math...imagine my dismay when I realized I'm really 27.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Loss is something I can completely understand, but have no real words of comfort for. I'm absolutely horrible at comforting people. I'd be willing to give it a shot anytime though, so I will PM you my contact info. Everyone knows, I'm up most all hours.

As for not being on the thread often, I can relate on the being busy. I don't feel like I ever have time to just sit down and relax anymore! The last few days, I've been MAKING time. I will try to continue that, now that it seems the majority of the old gang is here. I might even get MFB in on it tonight...Thank you for the congratulations, I am a very lucky woman. Three beautiful children and a very loving husband.



Now if I could just have a normal day today, that'd be great. I just proposed to Mike Rowe...I've yet to receive a response. Queens can have more than one husband, right?
