*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

I don't like cats. We have one at the store that someone dropped off. It's a Persian. Looks like an owl. It's grumpy and demanding...I'd get rid of it if it didn't remind me so much of myself.

Haha :)
I will try to keep my diatribe on inside cats to myself.

We have an inside dog, only because I was outvoted and DH loves small dogs - a compromise on my part, but I still threaten to get rid of her, from time to time.  But a cat will never live inside my house, I draw the line there.  Don't get me wrong, I love animals, and I do, sometimes, do things that non-animal lovers would consider odd, but I could never get past the thought of preparing food on a counter where a bare cat butt has sat, or that has been walked on by little cat feet that had just recently been in the litter box.  :sick

I really like barn cats, and feed store cats, though.  :)

Yuck I hate small dogs... I'll stick to my cats... Indoor outdoor cats and dogs at least 30 lbs and up.
One I find interesting is house ducks... I couldn't do that. Got enough diapers to change.

We have had 3 oops 4 cats in our lifetime together. Checha was poisoned by our neighbors - died very young. Mike the cat adopted us for about 7 months and left in a huff when I had to bring one of my beagles into the house. Raisin lived to be 19, and KC lived to be 20. No more cats - the Princess hates litter boxes, and I hate cats walking all over everything. Almost forgot the two feral cats that adopted us - 'no name' ended up getting hit on the road after a 2 or 3 year residence. Scaredy cat was here for 3 + years, but she left during the most recent coyote incident.

Queen Em and MFB should enter a race like this. Training might include pulling the wife through a pickup window....

Wife-carrying competition brings Finnish whimsy to Maine

You honestly think I'd trust MFB to carry me anywhere? You are sadly mistaken. Even if he didn't drop me on "accidentally on purpose", he trip and fall. And I have "baby bird bones" as my family likes to remind me...

We're talking cats? Well, we had a cat who had kittens, so we got rid of the male so she could live in peace from then on while we saved the money to get her fixed... and somehow, she's gotten pregnant again in the interim. So it looks like we're going to have more kittens soon. Cute buggers, but I really wish we didn't have so many (momma cat and four babies already out and running around)

Also, supcakes, cupcakes?

Oh nice choice, great lookin and smart. My dream dog is a Newfoundlander.... But DH picks next I just picked an Aussie and when our old girl is gone he wants a boxer... Nice dogs... Be a good match for my Aussie

We've currently got an airedale, but we're thinking of putting her down soon... she's 14, got hip dysplasia and can barely walk, is incontinent, and just can't defend our farm anymore. We've had stray dogs even inside our yard (killing 9 chickens back in April!) and last week, coming up and laying in front of our front door while our dog barked weakly. And I'd hate to think of any two legged critters coming around... It makes me sad, as our dog was such a dear with the chickens and my little brothers. We'd like another one, but puppies are upwards of $800!
