The Frogs and Toads All Sang by Arnold Lobel
“We’re going to have a party,” The frogs and toads all sang.
“We’ve got lemonade with ice cubes, and paper lamps to hang.”
The ladies wore long dresses and the gentlemen wore pants.
The orchestra was ready, so they all began to dance.
They danced in the meadow. They danced in the street
They danced in the lemonade just to cool their feet.
And here, folks, we have "Why Not To Drink The Kingdom Lemonade"

Banty, you got a problem with frogfoot lemonade?

Geez, some folks sure are picky.

I got a Pekin duck named Bob we where close I felt bad cause he was alone do I got two more now Bob wants nothing to do with me what do I do

I am afraid that you have posted on a thread that is to be devoted to all things silly.

However, incase you have trouble finding the correct location for your query (welcome to BYC by the way), I am terribly afraid that your sad predicament is the natural order of things.

A single duck (or chicken), since they are flock animals, will naturally bond closely to a human.

However, since you cannot speak duck and can never truly be a duck (no matter how sweet you are to him), he will always prefer other ducks. Once he has other ducks to play with, he will no longer be as interested in your non-duck-self.

Luckily for you however, all animals are slaves to their stomachs!

He will never be as friendly as he was, when he was a lonely single duck.

However, with wonderful treats you can teach him to come when called, perhaps jump up on a stump, and other simple tricks. With the aid of treats you might also get him to remember that he did once truly enjoy being petted.

Good luck.

That might explain some things . . . .

Quote: Indeed; you took a turn right into Crazytown. Meet any of us on other threads, and we might actually talk sense.

At least you duck knows he's a duck. I had one once that thought he was a chicken. I named him Ferdinand, after the duck in the movie Babe ("I tried it with the hens, it didn't work"). I had to lock him up with a lady duck for him to finally figure things out.

...Funny line of the week.

Saturday Moat Party : Count the Spook. Apparently I'll have to bring my
own brownies....

Some little evil...creature... has been allowed to much free rein in the kingdom
lately. Sour, have you still got that leaky raft? Perhaps Banty would enjoy a nice
slow boat ride around the moat?

And Em? Yes, you my dear. You can steer.
