I'm glad you found it!
The cracks between an object and a wall are a pain to look through for lost items...
Once a year I take a plane to visit my aunt in San Francisco, and we attend an anime convention and dress up in costume for it.
You and me both.
No kidding, especially since I'm pretty sure over half of my material possessions (except clothes) are back there. Time to clean my room.
Cool!
I'm not an anime person, though you already know that, but people get so excited about those conventions that I know they must be pretty cool for whoever IS into anime. My friend Mary recently went to Nebraskon (or something that sounds similar) and had a blast.
Same here!
They are very cool.
For example, if there was a chicken convention, you'd go to this huge warehouse and see all kinds of tables set up, with some selling chicken paintings, chicken memorabilia, chicken supplies, and sometimes even just chickens! A few others might set up goat tables, where you can buy goats and talk about them, and sometimes famous chicken people go there and talk with the con goers and give them autographs. Now replace chickens with anime and goats with sci-fi or superheroes and you've got an anime con.
