Sourland is in trouble. The Princess and I were making our son's favorite Christmas cookies - mocha, brown sugar, maraschino cherry cookies and I dropped the jar of maraschino cherries on the kitchen floor. Picture a glass bottle of bright red maraschino cherries and juice hitting the hard tile kitchen floor - SPLATT

. That wasn't the real problem. Sourland uttered a really creative swear word - one that he had never thought of before in his 70 years.

The Princess called me foul and is very unhappy - I hope that Santa did not hear me. My usual cooky/swearing fine is 25 cents - for this word (it was a doozy - I outdid myself) the Princess fined me $ 10. She is 'not liking' me right now.

Think she'll get over it by Christmas or should I take her present back?????
