Well. after 28+ years, he does say it a bit less often and with a touch less conviction

I think he knew what he was getting into, though. When we'd been married, oh, maybe 4 years, there was one time when I went to the place where he worked. He wasn't there, but this idiot he worked with was. Later, idiot told hubby I had been there, and asked him, "if I had made a pass at her, would you have hit me?" (I did say he was an idiot). Hubby said, "I wouldn't have to. She'd have done it herself."

He was right.
