I'm such a newbie. Despite all of my research, I freaked out at the sight of bright orange in my chicks' poo and went out and bought probably $75 worth of Corid, dry milk, bran, oatmeal, & corn meal! They were eating fine and didn't look bad, but I had lost a chick unexpectedly a few days prior. I only ended up using the Corid (I'm on day 3). Why did I only just now find the link to the normal chicken poop colors? Bright orange seemed like it could possibly be bloody since I hadn't been feeding them anything but chick crumbles. I also have 2 books and none of them told me chick poop could be so odd!
I'm feeding unmedicated primarily because I have a 2 year old daughter who likes to help me feed them. They are gated off, but I didn't want to risk her eating any chick food.
