Sight Sexing Barred Plymouth Rock Chicks at Hatch

Pics
Thanks so much. I was hoping that she was a pullet

@country lovin - Agree that it could be the more diffuse "f" kind of head spot. And dark wash on front of legs *should* mean pullet. I couldn't see that feature in your pics (using my cell phone to view).

Unfortunately, a purebred Barred Rock cannot be wing sexed.

If it makes you feel any better @country lovin - Dominiques follow the same rules as Barred Rocks for sexing. I was worried because my Dominique (sexed by the hatchery) arrived with a head spot that was not compact. She now lays 6 eggs a week.

Here was my Dominique at hatch. I thought her head spot was tough to tell. (Irreg shape) Her legs definitely had a black wash, so I was hopeful.

Here she is today at 20 weeks old. A male would have a larger comb & lighter barring (more white)
She's always following me & watching everything I do. Can't wait to get that 1st egg!

This is my first post here! I realise this is a blurry photo so it may be hard to tell but does anyone know if these three are male or female? We hatched them from eggs and they are almost 6 weeks old :)

If purebred, I would guess the one in front (on right) is a clear female. Females tend to have more black barring & the males have more white. The one in the back is too difficult to see well. The middle one has a little more white, but it isn't an obvious male. By 6 wks, you would begin to see pinkish combs on any males. Their combs also grow larger. If all the combs look alike, then chances are you have all females.
