Sign of the times: Shoe polish

I think it is the mink oil and accessories for polishing true leather that is the difficulty in finding. I can find shoe polish everywhere, but have to go to a cobbler for mink oil.

When I worked in the prison the inmates would burn toilet paper ,rub the smut on their boot, buff. did work for them. lol

Wow, I didn't realize Kiwi polish was becoming extinct, I'm going to have to check that out next time I'm in the stores. But it's true, it is hard to find good shoes, or good anything for that matter.

I think it's more of a sign of a disposable society than it is a sign of a dwindling middle-class. Just about everything comes in a disposable version now, including shoes.

My wal-mart carries polish. I've never had a hard time finding it.
