Signs of spring

Boy am I lucky I live in the Pacific Northwest - Starting in January our wild Daffodils started to pop up, our Buddleia was sprouting leaves, and quite a few trees looked like they might be budding. Now that it is February, all the crocus, hyacinth, daffodils, etc. are all in full bloom, the wild berries have small leaves on them, many new weeds and sort are popping up from the ground - And the temps are in a nice 50 degree range.

Aaaah spring, it seems to be coming early. That and our winter has been verrry warm.

I won't be surprised if our garden and orchards do really well this year.

Infact, we haven't even had half an inch of snow all winter, and the only time it ever froze was early december, the temps went down to 13 degrees, with an average 15 degrees for a week straight. Weirdest, coldest moment we've ever experienced. Otherwise, it's just 45-50 degrees out here and raining.

Our entire place is fenced in with 5 strand barbed wire fence, 99% of fences around here are barbed wire.

Maybe you're just not used to seeing it. It is VERY common.

The iris's are popping up.The weather is getting warmer.I was outside in a short sleeved shirt. The birds are singing. My rabbits are mating. My chickens CAME OUTSIDE FINALLY!!

Went for a horseback ride....trails were better but now they are almost too muddy....if the warm weather keeps up it will be too muddy by next week. BUT hopefully after that they will dry up! But really almost no snow!
