Oops! Lol apologies! I was also one of those people who saw it was active but I then realized I had 3 assignments due by midnight and forgot to post .

Has anyone ever had a chicken just stop eating mealworms as a treat? I toss out little handfuls of mealworms in the run to my girls every morning as just a treat for when I check on them for the first time. I have an EE who used to love this. She was the only one that figured out I’d put a few in the dust bath box, and she’d sneak in and snag them. About a couple weeks ago she just stopped caring about mealworms. The other 7 still go through their theatrics when I toss them out, just not my EE. I thought it was maybe a pecking order thing so I tried holding some in my hand just for her, and she’s not interested. She shows no sign of anything wrong - she’s just as goofy as ever, it’s just now she’s decided to voluntarily cut mealworms from her diet.

I’m excited for it to start pouring. Maybe I can get out of July 4th hehe. I just hope the coop’s new paint holds up.

Getting to the store involves driving in the rain.
Not happening. I did just check the Transtar live cams and it looks like I can make it to the store and back with out driving through high water so I am going to grab my umbrella and hit the road before I chicken out.
Gumbo = stove.
Not grill.
But yes my grill is out in the rain right now.

Please send the rain up here to Fort Worth. We need the rain soooo bad, our pastures are dead and with fireworks being legal in our area that’s not a good mix.

Just be careful and don't do anything dumb. Gumbo is great, but really, it's way more important for you to get back safe, and post more funny stuff for us.

It's so quiet here. There are no fireworks being set off at all - nor last night. For once, a little bit of common sense! Probably the result of having fifty thousand acres or so of wildfire crawling up the hills on both sides of the valley last summer. Amazing how effective that is at reminding people that things burn.
